January 10th 2020 DSTA Holiday Gathering
This year’s Holiday gathering in Duluth at Greysolon’s Moorish room was a lighter affair although still adorned by festive decorations, most notably the Stephensons. Ryan and Kyja’s holiday outfits stole the show! Maybe we need to have a “Best Dressed” award next year. A host of excellent prizes were given out – from gift cards to electronic gadgets, and even a Dyson vacuum that was whisked gingerly across the dance floor by Leo Nauman (ask him about the ticket folding technique he uses).
Great food was enjoyed by all the Rockabilly beats by the one and only Todd Eckard capped the evening. Taking requests and encouraging some hit sing-alongs, the DSTA members clinked glasses, shared camaraderie, and even took to the dance floor. Working through a few technical difficulties, your new President paid tribute to the outgoing board members, again asked their hard work and dedication, and welcomed in the new and returning board members. Unable to do a handoff and plaque presentation with Gina Schneider at this event, I’m saving that for a future association meeting. Thank you all who attended our annual Holiday Gathering!
