Thi sis the last Headlight for 2021 to wrap up the year. Thank you all for hanging on through the last 2 years with us. We will be putting on one more event on December 8th to vote in new board members and celebrate the holiday season.
There are so many things to be thankful for. One is for the opportunity to be a part of something bigger than ourselves. If you are interested in joining the DSTA board, please let me know, and plan on attending the last DSTA event.
The DSTA (along with the businesses and individuals who support it) has done great things. The DSTA Scholarship fund has grown to $22,900 and has already awarded $3,000 in scholarships. The DSTA Fill-A-Truck/Feed-A-Family has helped to provide almost 140,000 meals since its inception in 2014. We are looking for someone to lead the food drive going forward. Jay Baker has done a great job running this operation from its start in 2014-2019. He has committed to other opportunities in life and would help the next leader get started. This is a great opportunity to give back to the community alongside our awesome members. Please let me know if you are interested in this opportunity.
