Hello DSTA Members,
Now that Halloween is over, it is time to start thinking about our
DSTA Christmas Party that is only one month away!! This years
Christmas Party will be held at Black Bear Casino on Friday
December 1st. There will be Great Prizes, Great Food and Great
Fun for everyone!! Please look for the sign up and get it in to
Dawn ASAP so we can get an accurate count to the restaurant.
We will also be holding our elections that night and are looking
for 2 volunteers to take on the 2024/2025 Directors role. If
interested, please contact one of the board members or myself.
We have also reserved a block of rooms at the Hotel so when
booking, please mention that you are with the DSTA. The casino
is also having a band that night for those that can stay after. I’m
looking forward to seeing everyone there. This is a great way to
start off the Holiday Season!!!
Some other great news, the DSTA was able to donate $6,500 to
the Duluth-Superior Transportation Association Scholarship at
the University of Wisconsin-Superior. This now brings up the
Endowed Portion of the scholarship to $24,000!!! Great job
everyone for all you do for our organization. This scholarship
will make the DSTA legacy live on forever. We hope to increase
the amount of the scholarship we give by continuing to add to
this every year. We look to do a couple of different fund raisers
over the next few years to help with this, so any ideas are
welcome.
