I hope everyone got to enjoy those couple of days of Summer tease before reality settled in!! We just had our April meeting at Cirrus Aircraft! I want to thank everyone who came. I think we had a great turnout and I surely learned a lot. I learned that I will never be able to buy one of their jets unless I win the lottery!! But I really did find it very interesting and hard to believe all the people they employ and what goes on there. I want to thank Mike Cooper for setting that up! Next up on our DSTA agenda is Duluth Mayor, Emily Larson, on May 17th at Black Woods Grill & Bar, 2525 London Rd. Duluth. We will have a social hour starting at 5:00 and then the Mayor starting around 6:00. We will have appetizers served for this event (no dinner). The cost will be $20.00 a person. Please fill out the attached sign up sheet and return no later than Friday May 5th. I look forward to seeing all of you at the Mayor’s presentation. Next we have several events happening quickly. The DSTA Food Drive is June 8-10. This is a huge event for us and we need MANY VOLUNTEERS!! Richie Rochel is chairing this event again this year and we are hoping to beat last years numbers!!!
Then on Wednesday June 28th, the DSTA Annual Golf Outing will take place at Black Bear. We have a block of rooms reserved and will send out the golf sign up and room information in a couple of weeks. This will be a great event this year with lots planned. Thanks everyone for all your support!!
