Thank you to everyone who was able to attend the town hall session with Mayor Paine!
I joined the DSTA in November of 2012 just before Denise McDougall handed off the gavel to Joe Schiff. There are 12 positions on the board. Since I joined the board in 2014, there have been 25 different people holding these positions. A few have retired, a few are no longer with the organization. that leaves a very dedicated core group of people who have been leading the DSTA for 6 years (some even longer than that). as we move into 2020, Joe Schiff has chosen to lead the DSTA once again (if elected in November). Thank you, Joe! We are looking for two people to run for a two-year term and one person to run for a one-year term on the board for 2020/2021. It is time to expand the small number of people serving the transportation industry. Is it your turn? can you give back a few hours every couple of months? YOu will not regret it, I know I do not. It has been a great experience being part of the board for the last 6 years and I look forward to another year as Past President. if you’re interested, please let me know by the end of October. The board meets about 4-5 times during the year to plan events and guide the organization.
For those of you who have already given your time to the DSTA board, thank you. For those of you who have given your time and moved through the ranks to the President position, thank you, we will celebrate you in November.
Come join us because together we can do more!
